ABOUT US

Chapa Farmstay Welcomes you.
We are Hmong ethnic minority in northern Vietnam. Our village is hidden in the Hoang Lien Son mountain range not far from Fansipan, the highest mountain peak in Indochina.
Chapa Farmstay was created to share the Hmong culture, tradition, and experience with travelers around the world.  Chapa Farmstay sits on the mountain side overlooking Lao Chai village, rice paddies, corn fields, vegetable gardens, and the lush jungle of Hoang Lien National Park.  The panoramic view is breathtaking.  The air is crisp, clean, and refreshing. Sometimes, simplicity is best.  Hmong culture is colorful and unique and we want you to experience it.  At Chapa Farmstay we want you to experience the daily routine of the local villagers, explore the unspoiled natural surroundings, and create lasting memories. During your stay you will have opportunities to explore the agricultural practices of the Hmong people in the highland, help local farmers plant vegetables with simple tools, watch farmers work the fields with buffaloes, and stroll around the rice terraces.  You will be introduced to Hmong batik, weave textile by hand, and watch village girls embroider beautiful tapestries and traditional Hmong costumes.   Another mission of Chapa Farmstay is to provide educational and job training to the villagers. Our staff are young Hmong men and women who speak several languages—Hmong, Vietnamese, and English.  Many have other responsibilities such as caring for their elderly parents, siblings, or helping out in the community. At Chapa Farmstay our employees will learn trade skills such as cooking, hospitality and restaurant management, and customer service and tourism.  These lifelong skills will be beneficial to their career choice.

Lastly, Chapa Farmstay is about peace and serenity. The outskirt of Sapa is still quite rural.  If you want to escape the hustle and bustle of the city or explore the unique culture of the Hmong people, Chapa Farmstay is the place for you.  There is no WiFi at Chapa Farmstay.  Our goal is to give you a truly relaxing experience, connect to nature and enjoy its beauty, and explore the colorful culture of the local villagers.  It is quiet here; you can meditate and relax.  Our team will help you rejuvenate your body and mind.  We look forward to meeting you and sharing Chapa Farm with you.
